
Dr. Janet Legare is Professor in the Divisions of Genetics and Metabolism and Developmental Paediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin. She serves as Director of the Midwest Regional Bone Dysplasia Clinic and the Neuromotor Development Clinic at UW Health Kids in Madison, WI.
Dr. Legare is actively involved in numerous professional organisations, including the American Academy of Paediatrics, the Society for Paediatric Research, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, Little People of America, and the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society.
Legare’s clinical expertise encompasses diagnosis, management, and ongoing care for children and adults with various types of skeletal dysplasia. She also is actively involved in management of children with other genetic neurological and cognitive diagnoses such as Rett syndrome, Trisomy 18, Angelman syndrome etc. She is a leader in multidisciplinary care.
Research Interests
Legare’s research focuses on pediatric conditions, particularly achondroplasia and hypochondroplasia. Her research aims to elucidate the natural history of these conditions, assess treatment options, and enhance patient care. She is a site PI for multiple clinical trials for achondroplasia and hypochondroplasia including multicenter observational studies and clinical trials sponsored by organizations such as Ascendis Pharma, BridgeBio Pharma, and Tyra.

Andrew Dauber, MD, MMSc, is the chief of Endocrinology and director of the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics Research at Children’s National. Dr. Dauber earned his MD and a master’s degree in clinical investigation at Harvard Medical School. He completed his pediatrics residency, chief residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital.
At Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Dauber began his research career in the laboratory of Joel Hirschhorn. Dr. Dauber’s work focuses on rare genetic causes of growth disorders and the use of next generation sequencing technologies to understand pediatric endocrine disorders. He has identified numerous genetic etiologies for short stature including mutations in the ACAN and PAPPA2 gene. He has led targeted therapeutic trials in patients with rare genetic growth disorders. Additionally, Dr. Dauber discovered that mutations in imprinted genes MKRN3 and DLK1 are responsible for central precocious puberty. After his time in Boston, Dr. Dauber was the inaugural program director of The Cincinnati Center for Growth Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
In acknowledgment of his work, Dr. Dauber has earned multiple awards including young investigator awards from the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Dauber is currently working on integrating data from the electronic health records with genomics to identify patients with undiagnosed genetic growth conditions.

Dr. Tomasz Albrewczyński is an orthopaedic surgeon at Paley European Institute, specialising in the care of children and adults with skeletal dysplasias and other musculoskeletal differences. His clinical expertise includes limb lengthening, limb reconstruction, and complex orthopaedic surgery aimed at supporting mobility, function, and quality of life.
He graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw, where he completed his orthopaedic training. He further advanced his expertise through an international fellowship at the Paley Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he trained in contemporary limb reconstruction and limb-lengthening techniques.
Dr. Albrewczyński works closely with individuals and families to develop personalised treatment plans that reflect each person's goals and priorities. He is committed to advancing care through evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a patient- and family-centred approach.

Katarzyna Horosz-Piotrowska is the Head of Physiotherapy specialising in orthopaedic rehabilitation at Paley European Institute. She holds a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw.
She works with children and adults before and after orthopaedic surgery, as well as those pursuing non-surgical care, supporting them to achieve their own goals, maximise mobility, and participate fully in everyday life. Her clinical practice focuses particularly on people living with skeletal dysplasias and other musculoskeletal differences, including those who choose to undergo limb-lengthening procedures.
Katarzyna is recognised for her expertise in rehabilitation throughout the limb-lengthening journey and for working closely with individuals and families to support long-term health, independence, and quality of life. Her expertise is matched by a deep commitment to improving the lives of people living with skeletal dysplasia through evidence-based, person-centred care.
